The first GEA branch was established in Berlin-Lichterfelde, marking the beginning of the company's local presence.

Official Founding
GEA Wärmeaustauscher Gesellschaft mbH was officially founded in Berlin.

Specialized Manufacturing
A new production facility was opened in Berlin-Neukölln to manufacture coolers for air- and hydrogen-cooled electrical machines.
